Ion Sky – Singapore

Ion Sky is one of the best tourist atraction in Singapore. Ion sky is located at Orchard Road Singapore. It is very interesting that Ion is 3 in 1 which mean there is 3 Ion in one building. They are Ion Orchard, Ion Sky as well as Ion gallery. Ion sky is quite hard to find because it is located in the Ion Orchard Shopping mall. Ion sky is for people to view this beautiful City of Singapore which is kind of observatory. This is just very similar with Taipei 101 the tallest building.

Ion Sky is at 56 levels above Orchard Road, 218 metres into the clouds. Surround yourself with sweeping 360° panoramic views of Singapore and enjoy ION Sky’s multimedia experience.

The elevator all the way unimpeded came to the 55/56th floors, and the elevator door will open automatically in the moment you arrive door opens. Indeed ION SKY viewing platform more like a scenic trail, although it does have that set up in the 56th floor had a table viewing it here so that i can stop viewing place or in the carpeted walkway to ring Mainly, this circular walkway is connected from the observation deck on the 56th floor to the left and right sides to the front of the elevator floor on the 55th floor. This observation journey is actually the uphill trail after i am stepped on the entrance of ION SKY the moment has already begun because beside the trail for a view of that wall is composed of a plurality of transparent glass floor wall of glass windows composed of only architecture horizontal and vertical frame length glass wall seems a little too much, their views are divided “fragmented” Have.

Since being an observation deck, ION SKY naturally wants to introduce some of the scenery around here! And the way to introduce here is very simple, that is place the names you should pay attention to directly on the glass windows! Although the direction arrow is also marked above the place name, it is difficult for people unfamiliar with this area to find the real scene!

While looking at the scenery outside the window and walking up the walkway, I suddenly found that the top of the walkway was actually a transparent glass roof [surprise]
(Wow! Everyone else has a glass floor, this is actually a glass roof! Very special!). Especially Special, but I think ION SKY is only installed to save power! Because the roof glass is covered with a little sticker. Anyway, this glass roof not only appears on the trail, but also on the periphery of the observation deck on the 56th floor!

While observing the information while climbing the slope, we walked to the highest point of ION SKY-just before the observation deck on the 56th floor, stepped on the wooden floor of the observation deck, and immediately saw another “bouncer” in a suit with a straight back. Is this ION SKY very advanced or very dangerous place? Anyway, this observation deck on the 56th floor is not only an observation deck, but in fact it is more like a rest area because in addition to the quite “advanced” toilets, there are more than ten round sofas placed here Stool for everyone.

After walking around the protruding rest area, I went back to the intersection of the observation trail and the observation deck on the 56th floor. When I was about to continue to enjoy the scenery, I found that several horizontal windows are covered with Lehenge. Iron Bar Lean! These thick iron bars are really annoying! The scenery outside the window is almost completely invisible! Just when I was going to skip these floor-to-ceiling windows, I suddenly found that one of the floor-to-ceiling windows was covered with a translucent board. I just looked up and found out that the board says ION SKY is certified by the Cloud Appreciation Association. Official point of view! Oh~~ This is no wonder, no wonder some of the floor-to-ceiling windows here will have information about clouds! [Nod] Um… but what an unknown organization this Cloud Watching Association is? Why haven’t you heard it?

Because the ION SKY observation deck where I were now is 218 meters above the ground, it is the highest point in this area, so here, in addition to enjoying the surrounding scenery without any obstacles, you can also look out very very far! It is said that even as far as Johor Bharu Malaysia and Batam Island of Indonesia can be seen from their side! You can also see some well-known attractions in Singapore such as Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer and Singapore Sports City!

Cool! Seriously, I’m really never thought that I could see this view here! Really great place to see and do!

Merlion Park – Singapore

I am sharing about the best destination in Singapore today. I’m going to introduce about Merlion Park Singapore. It is the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore.

The Merlion Park in Singapore which is only sprays water, should be the most iconic and iconic landmark in Singapore!  As long as tourists who come to Singapore to travel, they will definitely come to take pictures with the Merlion. In addition to recording the Merlion himself, this article also sorted out several popular Singapore attractions around Merlion Park.  , You can arrange to play on the same day when planning your trip.

General introduction

Merlion Park is the must-see attraction in Singapore. It is a famous landmark and symbol of Singapore. This mascot represents the Lion City of Singapore and it is erected on the banks of the Singapore River. Tourists will never forget to leave a photo in front of the Merlion. Memorial photo! In addition to admiring the Merlion during the day, there are also beautiful light shows projected on the Merlion Park at night and the night area is even more charming. Be sure to come and enjoy the night view. Should not be missed!

Merlion Park is the smallest park in Singapore and it is located next to the Fulton Hotel, covering 0.25 hectares of ground, with an open deck, so that visitors can walk in front of the Merlion and take as many pictures as they want.  Merlion is a fictional lion head animal. It was designed in 1964 by Mr. Fraser Brunner, then director of the Van Kleef Aquarium. It was adopted by the New Brigade as a symbol two years later and was used until 1997. During this period, the Merlion has become a representative of Singapore, like the Eiffel Tower in France or the Statue of Liberty in the United States.

The fish tail as a city identification of Singapore, representing excellent character such as courage, wisdom, strength, and fish tail lion also symbolizes the hardcoming of the first batch of the ancestors of fighting. The most well-known fishhouses are located in the East Bay of Singapore, which is a preferred attraction of Singapore’s historical culture.

The image of the merlion lion head fish body originated from the title of Singapore in Malay. In Malay, Singapore is called “Singapura”, the meaning of the word is “lion”, which is why Singapore. There is no lion but it is the reason for being a lion city.

This is the another Merlion in Sentosa 😍I will share more about the Sentosa Island on the new blog topic later.

There are 7 merlion statues in Singapore, distributed at the Singapore Tourism Board, Sentosa Island, Mount Faber and Hongmao Bridge, but the most well-known and not to be missed is the Merlion Park near Marina Bay. The Merlion statue in the Merlion Park near Marina Bay is 8.8 meters high and weighs 70 tons. It faces the Eastern Marina Bay and overlooks the Eastern waters of Singapore, symbolizing the spirit of Singaporeans’ continuous exploration. Next to this statue, there is also a small merlion statue, two meters high and 3 tons in weight, which is also a favorite photo place for tourists like me.

Merlion Park and Singapore’s other landmark, Marina Bay Sands, are across the bay and near Raffles MRT Station. The transportation is very very convenient in Singapore.

Singapore’s Merlion Park is directly opposite the world-famous Sands Hotel. The wavy Sands Hotel Casino and Shopping Mall. The Sands Hotel’s water dance show is held on the opposite platform. As one of the most complicated buildings in history, many of them have been completed. The world’s highest record adds legend. The hotel’s most topical top floor, the huge sky garden is equal to 3 football fields. I hope that I can soak in the highest infinity pool in the world and look out at the Merlion next time! There are 21 museums in the museum. There are so many museums in Singapore.

The coconut shell is the Museum of Art and Science. It can only be said that Singapore is worth seeing only in architecture. Moving towards the Merlion Park, the left-hand building is the Binhai Art Center, and the appearance of aluminum sunshades is like a durian. This art center cost 600 million Singapore dollars to build. The inside concert hall and theater are built on a world-class scale. There is also a coastal performing arts library and outdoor performance venue. I really want to go inside and see it next time!

On the top is the Singapore Flyer, a ferris wheel with a diameter of 150 meters. It takes half an hour to make a lap, and the shopping mall below is 165 meters. It is the largest ferris wheel in the world! Rare, but a viewing cabin can accommodate 28 people. There is a gimmick. In addition, you can take a ferris wheel to enjoy a big meal. The romantic price is $328.9 SGD (surprised).

Entertainment at Merlion Park

The fishwish park covers an area of 0.25 hectares, the area is not large, but as a Singapore landmark, a batch of tourists are still attracted to this visit. Next to the statue of fish tail, build a look at the public and tourists. If you don’t hurry, sit on the table to blow the sea breeze, enjoy the graceful scenery of the Singapore Bay, is really comfortable. If you arrive in the Tail Lion Park, it is already in the evening. It may wish to stay slightly, to be dark, the opposite Bay Bay Golden Salagia gives a beautiful light, overlooking the charming night of Singapore. If you are lucky, you can catch up with the citizens who hold music performances or organize events in the Fishwish Park, and feel the customs of the “Lion City”. I remember that when I took a photo with the fish tail, I took a photo of the fish tail lion spurting the water column, which is said to get strength and wealth.

Things to do near Merlion Park

Merlion is located in the Marina Bay area, surrounded by a wealth of attractions, such as the Marina Bay Sands Resort across the bay from the Merlion, with the Marina Bay Gardens, high-altitude observation deck, Art Science Museum and Marina Bay Sands, Waiting for famous attractions in Singapore.

The Sands Hotel deserved to cost US $ 5.5 billion to build. The vast interior of the building is also impressive. Combining hotels, shopping malls, casinos and theaters, many international brands can buy soft hands and spend a few days eating, drinking and having fun inside.  Certainly not boring.

Next to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, there are also the newly completed Red Dot Design Museum, the Double Helix Bridge, and the Marina Walk.

If you go further, you can reach most of the attractions within 8 stops by subway. Places such as Chinatown, Little India, Orchard Road, Singapore National Museum, etc. that you must visit are all within a four kilometer radius of Merlion Park.

If you want to learn more about Singapore travel information, you may wish to continue to browse other related travel strategies in the article, from family parent to child shopping instructions, from different angles to introduce the itinerary of the city of Singapore.

Araluen Botanic Garden

It is understandable of travel restrictions due to the COVID-19. You can still start planning for your future travel plan. Are you intend to visit Australia in the future? Or are you from somewhere in Australia would love to visit Perth? I am sharing one of the best attractions and the beautiful garden that you will love it which is name called Araluen Botanic Garden 🙂

First of all, Araluen Botanic Garden can be a Garden or Park. Some people love to call Park and some call garden. It is not a big different.

Overview of Araluen

Araluen Botanic Garden is located in the Roleystone Western Australia. Araluen Botanic Garden is a unique attraction hidden in the lush valley of the Darling Range.  The botanical garden has wild and cultivated beauty, and you can come here for leisure activities throughout the year.  Regardless of the season, you can see the babbling stream and green scenery in the Araluen Park. You can have a barbecue picnic here or choose multiple trails to enjoy the fun of hiking.

There are exotic and native species in the paradise-like gardens, all of which are grown and cultivated in the historical park with rich and fertile soil and high rainfall.  Magnificent and culturally significant terrace gardens, wood and stone structures, water features and ancient trees shape this park.  Tulips and other beautiful flowers are in full bloom during the hot spring season, which is the best place for photography, bird watching and family gatherings.

There is an event in the park sometimes includes summer concerts, children’s activities during school holidays as well as the Art in the Park on the last Sunday of every month. Araluen Garden has a glorious history.  Founded by Young Australia League in 1929, it was originally used as a holiday park, and until today it still exudes the charm and atmosphere of the old era.

Facilities in the park include a log cabin tea room and a gift shop. In winter, a warm fire will be lit indoors.

One thing i love about Araluen Botanic Garden is the beautiful lake. While i was walking around the lakeside, i could feel relax with this lovely weather as i love cold weather very much.

According to my personal experience in Araluen Botanic Garden, i have learnt a lot of the different type of flowers, the histories of the exotic garden, the local cultures and so on. The other beautiful things shown me was the small waterfall.

Hiking up the low hill was very enjoyable and it was very beautiful view from the top

What’s flowering at Araluen?

Before you decided to plan for a visit, you need to know that Araluen Botanic Garden has different type of flowers on every season. Not every flower you can see on every season. You could even visit Araluen Botanic Garden on every season to encounter and discover these beautiful flowers.

The top rose garden contains the greatest variety. The Rose Garden has examples of Tea roses, many of which flower all year, Gallica roses of French origin, Damasks, Albas and modern shrub roses.

Admission Fee

The most beautiful background 😍

There is an admission fee for this visit and it is just cost AUD$10 per person only which is worth enough. This Araluen Botanic Garden is bigger than Kings Park Botanic Garden. You could see so much garden and park here than Kings park, especially is the colorful flowers part where amazed me 😂😁😆

First day arrive scheduled

I have been visiting Tassie on February 2020 and my first day arrival was on Saturday. The first day arrived trip plan was visiting the Salamanca Market. Salamanca Market is running on every Saturday basis. It is one of the top attractions that travellers must visit. Please find more details about Salamanca Market on my blog tab of my website.

After visiting Salamanca Market, I straight away to check in my Quest houses. I was staying at the quest house. It is a very good accommodation and it is very convenient. After that, I visit the Elizabeth Street Pier, Hobart Tasmania and enjoyed my dinner at the same time. It is like 2 minutes walk from the market to the destination which is very close.

Elizabeth Street Pier is a major street and it is located in Hobart Tasmania. They are very similar with the Fremantle Perth Australia where there is very Western Style shops, fish market, food and beverage stores, harbour front, souvenir shops, Asian restaurant, Elizabeth street mall, cruise tours and many other fun tours.

Showing around the Elizabeth Street

Dinner time at Tassie

Today, i am going to introduce the best and top Western Restaurant in Hobart Tasmania. The restaurant name is called Fish Frenzy. Fish Frenzy is just located in the Elizabeth Street Pier at the main entrance of the harbour. I went there for my dinner after explored and discovered the Port of Hobart. The Fish Frenzy restaurant had lot of different seafood dishes and burgers. I had the fish and chip for my dinner that day. It was very tasty and crispy so i would recommended to you for a try. It is very costly but it worth to get them once in a while.

Most of the people ordered these both dishes in the Fish Frenzy Restaurant. Both are costly but it is good to try out something new at the different places.

Best travel attractions which is called Cijin Island kaohsiung must visit

Cijin Island is a very small island in Kaohsiung Taiwan. Kaohsiung is belong to the Southern area in Taiwan. It is just 15 minutes ferry ride outside the famous Kaohsiung Harbour to the Cijin Island. Although it is a very small Island, this island has become a favorited destination for those people whoever had visiting the city. The island is famous not just only for historical and cultural sites, but also for the fresh seafood around the night market. It really is perfect for any type of travelers; no matter if you are visiting for a hiking trip, sightseeing, cycling, photography etc. Cijin Island has something special for everyone.

Cijin Island is one of those destinations that always has visitors and it is the best tourists attractions in Taiwan, it is because there is so much trip to do in the island. Those who love a good hike usually make their way to the famous Cijin Lighthouse that is located on top of the hills. The hike is not difficult and it is easy to navigate around the trails, so it is very suitable for many people. Cycling around the island is also a preferred activity in Cijin Island; some of the best places that can be explored include the Cijin Windpower Park and the Cijin Seashore Park. Exploring an island is not completely without a dip in the water, and because the water in Cijin is quite warm, many love to relax while soaking their feet or taking a swim by the beach. Lastly, it is also important to try some seafood in the port area of Cijin since it is known to be very fresh.

Which Month and what season of the year will be the best for visit

There is four seasons in Taiwan. They are Winter, Autumn, Spring and Summer. Taiwan season is totally opposite with Australia seasons. For example, When Australia is on Winter, Taiwan is on the Summer season. Many people are wondering that which season would be the best visit Cijin Island. In my personal experience, the best time to visit Cijin Island would be between September and February of the years. That would be when the summer about to end. It is because Summer is the season of raining which is not able to explore much on the island while raining so it is very best to visit between September and February which was Autumn, Winter and Spring season. I am not recommended to visit between June and August as the weather is too heat with raining. You may wondering that why Winter would be good to visit. Well, Kaohsiung won’t be freezing during the winter. It is totally different with Taipei City.

Please note that during the summer seasons, the ocean wave is pretty strong due to the weather

Introduction of the Cijin Lighthouse

Lighthouse

According to the photo taken above, it is taken from the Lighthouse in the Cijin Island. Aside from the scenery, Cijin is also famous for its historical sites, including the Cijin Lighthouse and the Cijin Fort. In 1883, British engineers built the Cijin Lighthouse, which was used for the military during their conflicts with France. The lighthouse went through several reconstructions during the Japanese colonisation, and it is now open to the public. The Cijin Fort is also a historical site in the island that must be on the itinerary. The fort was originally built in 1720 and has witnessed quite a lot during its time. Since it was destroyed in the war, the fort was reconstructed in 1991 and is now one of the most famous attractions in Cijin Island that offers a magnificent 360 view.

The History of Dr. James Laidlaw Maxwell Monument in the Cijin

Basically James Laidlaw Maxwell Senior Chinese name called 馬雅各 and he was born on 18 March 1836 in Scotland. March 1921 was the first Presbyterian Missionary to Formosa (Qing-era Taiwan). He served with the English Presbyterian Mission.

First of his mission centred in the then-capital Taiwan Fu (now Tainan city); in 1868 he moved near Cijin and now part of Kaohsiung where his work place, both medical and missionary, became more welcomed. In early 1872 he advised Canadian Presbyterian missionary pioneer George Leslie Mackay to start his work in northern Taiwan, near Tamsui.

He married with Mary Anne Goodall who died on January 1918 of Handsworth on 7 April 1868 in HongKong. They had two sons, John Preston and James Laidlaw Jnr, both of whom later also became medical missionaries. He and his sons oversaw the construction of Sin-Lau Hospital in Tainan, the first western-style hospital in Taiwan. The younger J. L. How to travel down to the Cijin Island

From there, just head to the harbour and take Cijin Ferry; instructions from the MRT station to the harbour are available around the streets and it will take about 10 minutes to get there on foot. One of them is called Hiking Elephants Mountain. It is the best destination for hiking. While hiking, you could see the beautiful viewing of the heart of Taipei from the top which is pretty cool. I am going to share this fun moment with human beings. Hope you will like it just i do.

Basically, I was taking the MRT red line from Da’ an MRT station to the XiangShan MRT Station. Hiking Elephants Mountain is one of the top tourist attractions in Taipei Taiwan. It is 183m high and has a hiking trail about 1.5km long. The taipei 101 can be seen from the trail. The six Giant Rocks are a tourist attraction in XiangShan. There are so many people haven’t know about this attractions and I am going to give more fun of my experience now. It is scary but perfect view of the Taipei City which is great. it is free of charge so there is no fee needed.

Xiangshan Hiking Trail

XiangShan Hiking Trail is the most painful experience but it is worth to go have this kind of experience. It is very convenient to go for a visit by MRT train line. The best time to visit Hiking Trail Mountain is between March and November. When you encounter raining season or earthquake season, please do skip this attraction for safety purposes. Especially is raining season, it is very slip on the stairs so it is very dangerous to walk up the hills when there is raining. Therefore, I had heard that weekends get pretty packed so you should avoid visit this place on the weekends

According to this photo shown above, I have taken from the mountain stones. It is the best place for viewing the whole Taipei. Weekdays always the best for hike.

I went there alone and it took me for 10 minute walk from the MRT station, also 30 minutes from the bottom to the top of the hills. Some people may feel tiring and need a break middle of hiking, the whole experience could take it for minimum 1.5 hours, this will depend on how busy will be on that day and how fast you hiking from the bottom to the top. Sometimes take very long when you are waiting on queue for the perfect photoshoot. Although night time is perfect for visit but it is not safe to hiking at night as it is very dark and hardly to see.

You may ask yourself about how hard is the hike? It is not too hard. Like what I have mentioned above, it take me for 30 minutes from the bottom to the top of the hill and I did have a quick break when I was on my way. I do recommended to bring your water bottle, a towel as well as your camera of course, other than that it’s pretty basic.

The first stop is a viewing platform after about 10 minutes, then there is a selection of boulders that people climb all over for epic pictures. Ultimately, 1 minutes beyond the boulders is the main viewing platform where all the pro-photographers lineup each day!

I heard people said hiking before sunset and watching the change is one awesome option if you have time to spare, other than that you could do the hike twice, once in a morning and once in an evening.

How to get to Elephant Mountain hiking trail?

When you hear about a ‘hike’ you assume it’ll take you all day. Getting there, hiking, finding the top etc, thats not the case with Elephant Mountain Taipei! If you’re staying elsewhere in the city, jump on the MRT subway system and head to Xiangshan, it is the last stop on the red line. Walk out exit 2, and follow your google map. It’s really easy to find so shouldn’t an issues.

All-in-all it’s an awesome activity, and even adds a little bit of exercise to your day. I have great memories of my time hiking the Elephant Mountain Taipei and I hope you guys ensure you get to experience in your time there too, you won’t regret the effort, even if it is a little hot and humid! And don’t worry, it’s honestly not too difficult. Even if you’re out of shape, you can take your time and still be rewarded with the best views of the city. Enjoy! #Vacation #Winter
