In ancient China, every spring and autumn, the emperors would hold sacrifice ceremonies, Spring Festival Day, Autumn Festival Month, so some people say that the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival should be derived from the autumn moon sacrifice ceremony.
In addition to the Moon God’s birthday, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also the birthday of the god of the earth, which is widely believed by the people. When the 15th coincides with the full moon, Chinese people often use the full moon to symbolize reunion, so many foreign wanderers will also take advantage of this day. Home and family reunion. The Moon, the protagonist of the Mid-Autumn Festival, is one of many ancient legends, and myths such as Chang’e Flying to the Moon, Wu Gang’s Attacking Gui, and Jade Rabbit Pounding Medicine are widely spread.
Change to the moon More than 4,000 years ago, there was a violent king in a poor country-Hou Yi. In order to be immortal, he found the elixir of life, but his wife Chang’e did not make people in poor countries suffer. Hou Yi’s long-term brutal rule, so he secretly swallowed these medicines. I didn’t expect Chang’e to fly lightly, and gradually flew to the moon, and lived in Guanghan Palace. From then on, Chang’e was revered as the moon God, And because the day of flying to the moon happened to be August 15th, posterity worshipped the Moon God on this day every year.
Wu Gang Fagui
According to legend, Wu Gang was originally a woodcutter who lived in the mortal world. Because he was obsessed with the way of becoming immortal all day long, he abandoned the righteous cause. The Emperor knew about this. The Emperor was very angry, so he was detained in the Moon Palace and told him “If you cut down the laurel tree, I will give you a spell.” So Wu Gang kept cutting down the laurel tree, but because the laurel tree would automatically heal, no matter how hard Wu Gang tried, he couldn’t cut it down.
The Legend of Jade Rabbit Making Medicine
There are three gods, who are transformed into three decent people, begging foxes, monkeys and rabbits for food, foxes and monkeys all take out food to help people, but only rabbits don’t have it, and then the rabbit tells the people “You eat me”, Jumped into the fire, and the gods were so touched, they sent the rabbit to Guanghan Palace to become a jade rabbit. After that, the jade rabbit accompanied Chang’e in the Guanghan Palace and made the medicine for longevity.
The custom of eating mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival was actually handed down from the Yuan Dynasty, and it was initiated by Berwin. At that time, the people of the Central Plains was ruled by the Yi tribe, so they decided to initiate an uprising against the rule of the Mongols. Suffering from the lack of channels, the clever Berwin spread the plague outside, asking everyone to buy mooncakes to eat to avoid disasters. When they opened the food, they found the “August 15th Night Uprising” note hidden in the mooncakes, and the people responded. In one fell swoop to overthrow the Mongolian rule, the custom of eating moon cakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival was passed down.
Rappefruit Since the pronunciation of grapefruit is the same as “Yoko”, it has auspicious meanings, and it is the abundant production period around the Mid-Autumn Festival, so it has become an inevitable fruit for the Mid-Autumn Festival. In the Yilan area, the quality of Dongshan’s Wendan pomelo is widely praised, juicy and delicious, and mouthwatering
On my upcoming blog, i will share with human being about the type of mooncake, the favour as well as how it taste like. Different country have a diferent type of mooncake. Stay tune world 🙂

Are you a chocolate lover? If so, this blog will be for you then. I share about my fun time down there with you. Also, i will talk about the best destination between busselton and margaret river. I will also telling you where to get for a lunch break while visiting.
While heading down to Margaret river, the tour operator will definitely drop by Busselton as well which is included in your fare. Busselton Jetty is the only popular attractions in Busselton. It takes about 2 hour and 18 minutes without break to get to the Busselton from Perth City by car or group tours.
Welcome to the TravelQueen travel blog about Busselton Jetty 🙂
About the Jetty
At 1841 metres, the Busselton Jetty offers an unprescedented opportunity to walk almost two kilometers out into Geographe Bay. The Busselton Jetty also has an underwater observatory which was built to take you beneath the waves of Geographe Bay.
The Jetty is 1.8 kilometers long which is quite a distance to stretch out into the blue waters of Geographe Bay. But you could choose to take train all the way to the end or you can walk if you want to. For me, i was decided to experience both so i did catch the train down and walk when i return to the main entrance.
If you catch the train, you will experience a fun way of making the journey. Children and adults love the sight of the small red train, perfectly sized to take passengers back and forth the length of the pier. A memorable 1.7km trainride with an unbelievable view of Geographe Bay. This is a popular activity for summer season so book your tickets beforehand. The Jetty train ticket is cost $14 per person with return ticket. There is family ticket cost $38 which is worth than single ticket as well as kid ticket cost $8.50 per child.
By the way, there is a cost for entry the Jetty. It is cost $4 per person and it is a day pass. Children under 16 years old are free of charge.
The Jetty is open from 8:30am to 6pm, and walking the Jetty takes approximately 25 minutes, each way. You can purchase tickets at the Interpretive Centre window at the start of the Jetty. It is a lovely walk out into Geographe Bay along the Jetty. Local fishermen and women are fishing the jetty all throughout the day, and the fresh ocean air makes the walk all the more enjoyable.
If you are walking down to the end, you will see this beautiful bay and lot of people are fishing around the bay and some people love to swim in the bay which is very interesting.
After you walk till the end of the road, you will see the underwater observatory. Regarding to the photos shown above, it is the sign telling you that you are out of the sea which is pretty cool and you have been walk for 1841km. It is kinda a sea direction of telling you which way to go if you are heading to other side of the city.
It is very freezing down there so please ensure you bring your jacket.
Underwater Observation is a very good experience too. It shows you what is under the sea as well as to explain the different type of the fish. This observatory only accommodate maximum 44 people per tour. Underwater tour is cost $34 per adult and $99 per family pass. If there is an extra children, it would be cost $20 per child. However, it is free ticket for 2 years old and below child.
Underwater Observatory tour starts with a relaxing train ride on the Stocker Preston Express along the length of the Jetty with 360-degree views across the Indian Ocean. One of the friendly tour guides will greet you at the end of the Jetty to guide you through the Underwater Observatory. As you descend 8-metres below the ocean’s surface you will be lead through the natural wonders that lie beneath the Jetty where its piles create Australia’s greatest artificial reef host to an awe-inspiring forest of vividly-coloured tropical and sub-tropical corals, sponges, fish and invertebrates.
Discover more than 300 individual marine species in their natural habitat through eleven viewing windows at various levels within the 9.5 metre diameter observation chamber.
Let’s talk about Margaret River 🙂
Where to get some lunch break?
Most of the people will having fish and chips for their lunch down in Margaret river. The best place for lunch in Margeret river region areas is Margaret river restaurants. The following picture which i took at the riverside, it is called Margaret River. Opposite of this river is a restaurant where tourist always having their lunch. I had a wonderful lunch which is bacon with pancake and chicken wings. Their most popular dishes are in the picture shown above as well as the beef burger with chips.
Margaret river is one of the regional state in Western Australia. It is located at the south west of Western Australia. It takes about half an hour drive from Busselton to Margaret river. The most popular destination in Margaret river are the winery, the lighthouse and the chocolate factory.
Margaret River’s coast to the west of the town is a renowned surfing location, with worldwide fame for its surf breaks including, but not limited to, Main Break, The Box, and Rivadog.
The surrounding area is the Margaret River Wine Region and is known for its wine production and tourism, attracting an estimated 500,000 visitors annually. In an earlier days, the area was better known for hardwood timber and agriculture production.
Are you a wine lover? Robert Oatley Winery store is located at the Wilyabrup Margaret river in Western Australia and it is the very best place in the heart of Margaret river as well as they provide their very best quality of Winery in Australia. They do running through their wine production where they give everyone to have a taste of their winery product before making decision to buy them.
According to the picture shown above, it is the Robert Oatley Tasting Story. These are the 5 wine they offer for a tasting. I have tried them and i do love the red wine and the dessert wine. They are winemakers which is pretty good and i love them so much. Most of the tourist buy for red wine and dessert wine.
Chocolate Factory in Margaret River
One of the destination in Margaret River which you shouldn’t miss it is called Margaret River Chocolate Factory. It is about 5 to 10 minutes drive to get there from the winery stores. One thing i love about chocolate factory is FREE CHOCOLATE and it is affordable chocolates. You will experience with different type of chocolate by tasting the free chocolate before you make your decision to buy them.
Margaret river chocolate factory is opening from 9am to 5pm daily. Their chocolate pretty much as same as the chocolate factory in the Swan Valley Perth.
Whenever i go to the chocolate factory, my first priority is always to taste the free chocolate. After that, i would buy the mint choc ice-cream. Mint choc ice-cream is one of my favourite ice-cream and it is very tasty.
How to get there?
Do you ever thinking of how to get to the Busselton and MARGERET river? Well, this is depend on whether you are tourists or students or locals. This is also depend on whether yohh drive or not and whether you are willing to drive all the way down. Some people may feel tired to drive that long. Most of the people hire a car to drive there as the petrol is much cheaper than with the group tours. In my personal experience, if you are a tourist, it is good to go with the tour operator as they will share the history of the tourism marketplace, the history of the destination, they will taking you to the very best place for a view that you never expected or heard of it. If you are thinking to go with the tour operator, I would recommended you to book with Adam tour company. Adam is a tourism company which is very affordable and they are very friendly and experience in local tourism.
If you are based in Perth Australia such as exchange students, international students and local people, you could catch the south west coach line buses down to Busselton or Margaret River. On the another option, you could catch the Transwa train line to get to the destination. Train is much cheaper that buses and it is quicker to reach your destination. Buses is very costly but it is worth it as you could see the beautiful way while you are traveling down.
Ultimately, I do highly recommended you to visit all of the best destination shared above. You will enjoy it just like I do. You should try one day 😉 #Vacation #Dream

Cijin Island is a very small island in Kaohsiung Taiwan. Kaohsiung is belong to the Southern area in Taiwan. It is just 15 minutes ferry ride outside the famous Kaohsiung Harbour to the Cijin Island. Although it is a very small Island, this island has become a favorited destination for those people whoever had visiting the city. The island is famous not just only for historical and cultural sites, but also for the fresh seafood around the night market. It really is perfect for any type of travelers; no matter if you are visiting for a hiking trip, sightseeing, cycling, photography etc. Cijin Island has something special for everyone.
Cijin Island is one of those destinations that always has visitors and it is the best tourists attractions in Taiwan, it is because there is so much trip to do in the island. Those who love a good hike usually make their way to the famous Cijin Lighthouse that is located on top of the hills. The hike is not difficult and it is easy to navigate around the trails, so it is very suitable for many people. Cycling around the island is also a preferred activity in Cijin Island; some of the best places that can be explored include the Cijin Windpower Park and the Cijin Seashore Park. Exploring an island is not completely without a dip in the water, and because the water in Cijin is quite warm, many love to relax while soaking their feet or taking a swim by the beach. Lastly, it is also important to try some seafood in the port area of Cijin since it is known to be very fresh.
Which Month and what season of the year will be the best for visit
There is four seasons in Taiwan. They are Winter, Autumn, Spring and Summer. Taiwan season is totally opposite with Australia seasons. For example, When Australia is on Winter, Taiwan is on the Summer season. Many people are wondering that which season would be the best visit Cijin Island. In my personal experience, the best time to visit Cijin Island would be between September and February of the years. That would be when the summer about to end. It is because Summer is the season of raining which is not able to explore much on the island while raining so it is very best to visit between September and February which was Autumn, Winter and Spring season. I am not recommended to visit between June and August as the weather is too heat with raining. You may wondering that why Winter would be good to visit. Well, Kaohsiung won’t be freezing during the winter. It is totally different with Taipei City.
Please note that during the summer seasons, the ocean wave is pretty strong due to the weather
Introduction of the Cijin Lighthouse
According to the photo taken above, it is taken from the Lighthouse in the Cijin Island. Aside from the scenery, Cijin is also famous for its historical sites, including the Cijin Lighthouse and the Cijin Fort. In 1883, British engineers built the Cijin Lighthouse, which was used for the military during their conflicts with France. The lighthouse went through several reconstructions during the Japanese colonisation, and it is now open to the public. The Cijin Fort is also a historical site in the island that must be on the itinerary. The fort was originally built in 1720 and has witnessed quite a lot during its time. Since it was destroyed in the war, the fort was reconstructed in 1991 and is now one of the most famous attractions in Cijin Island that offers a magnificent 360 view.
The History of Dr. James Laidlaw Maxwell Monument in the Cijin
Basically James Laidlaw Maxwell Senior Chinese name called 馬雅各 and he was born on 18 March 1836 in Scotland. March 1921 was the first Presbyterian Missionary to Formosa (Qing-era Taiwan). He served with the English Presbyterian Mission.
Maxwell studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and completed his degree in year 1858 with a graduation thesis of The Chemistry and Physiology of the Spleen. He worked in London at Brompton Hospital and at the Birmingham General Hospital. He was an elder in the Broad Street Presbyterian Church before being sent to Taiwan by the Presbyterian Church of England (now within the United Reformed Church) in 1864. He donated a small printing press to the church which was later used to print the Taiwan Church News.
On 16 June 1865, at the urging of missionaries H.L. Mackenzie and Carstairs Douglas, he established the first Presbyterian church in Taiwan, this date now celebrated by the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan as its anniversary. First of his mission centred in the then-capital Taiwan Fu (now Tainan city); in 1868 he moved near Cijin and now part of Kaohsiung where his work place, both medical and missionary, became more welcomed. In early 1872 he advised Canadian Presbyterian missionary pioneer George Leslie Mackay to start his work in northern Taiwan, near Tamsui.
He married with Mary Anne Goodall who died on January 1918 of Handsworth on 7 April 1868 in HongKong. They had two sons, John Preston and James Laidlaw Jnr, both of whom later also became medical missionaries. He retired in London in 1885 where he formed and became the first secretary of the Medical Missionary Association. He and his sons oversaw the construction of Sin-Lau Hospital in Tainan, the first western-style hospital in Taiwan. The younger J. L. Maxwell served in the Tainan hospital from 1900 to 1923, during Taiwan’s Japanese Era.

Are you a hiking lover? Do you love hiking? Taiwan is the best country for hiking. Hiking is very good exercise in life. There is lot of best hiking attractions for tourists in Taiwan. One of them is called Hiking Elephants Mountain. It is the best destination for hiking. While hiking, you could see the beautiful viewing of the heart of Taipei from the top which is pretty cool. I am going to share this fun moment with human beings. Hope you will like it just i do.
Basically, I was taking the MRT red line from Da’ an MRT station to the XiangShan MRT Station. Hiking Elephants Mountain is one of the top tourist attractions in Taipei Taiwan. It is 183m high and has a hiking trail about 1.5km long. The taipei 101 can be seen from the trail. The six Giant Rocks are a tourist attraction in XiangShan. There are so many people haven’t know about this attractions and I am going to give more fun of my experience now. It is scary but perfect view of the Taipei City which is great. it is free of charge so there is no fee needed.
Xiangshan Hiking Trail
XiangShan Hiking Trail is the most painful experience but it is worth to go have this kind of experience. It is very convenient to go for a visit by MRT train line. The best time to visit Hiking Trail Mountain is between March and November. When you encounter raining season or earthquake season, please do skip this attraction for safety purposes. Especially is raining season, it is very slip on the stairs so it is very dangerous to walk up the hills when there is raining. Therefore, I had heard that weekends get pretty packed so you should avoid visit this place on the weekends
According to this photo shown above, I have taken from the mountain stones. It is the best place for viewing the whole Taipei. Weekdays always the best for hike.
I went there alone and it took me for 10 minute walk from the MRT station, also 30 minutes from the bottom to the top of the hills. Some people may feel tiring and need a break middle of hiking, the whole experience could take it for minimum 1.5 hours, this will depend on how busy will be on that day and how fast you hiking from the bottom to the top. Sometimes take very long when you are waiting on queue for the perfect photoshoot. Although night time is perfect for visit but it is not safe to hiking at night as it is very dark and hardly to see.
You may ask yourself about how hard is the hike? It is not too hard. Like what I have mentioned above, it take me for 30 minutes from the bottom to the top of the hill and I did have a quick break when I was on my way. I do recommended to bring your water bottle, a towel as well as your camera of course, other than that it’s pretty basic.
The first stop is a viewing platform after about 10 minutes, then there is a selection of boulders that people climb all over for epic pictures. Ultimately, 1 minutes beyond the boulders is the main viewing platform where all the pro-photographers lineup each day!
I heard people said hiking before sunset and watching the change is one awesome option if you have time to spare, other than that you could do the hike twice, once in a morning and once in an evening.
How to get to Elephant Mountain hiking trail?
When you hear about a ‘hike’ you assume it’ll take you all day. Getting there, hiking, finding the top etc, thats not the case with Elephant Mountain Taipei! If you’re staying elsewhere in the city, jump on the MRT subway system and head to Xiangshan, it is the last stop on the red line. Walk out exit 2, and follow your google map. It’s really easy to find so shouldn’t an issues.
All-in-all it’s an awesome activity, and even adds a little bit of exercise to your day. I have great memories of my time hiking the Elephant Mountain Taipei and I hope you guys ensure you get to experience in your time there too, you won’t regret the effort, even if it is a little hot and humid! And don’t worry, it’s honestly not too difficult. Even if you’re out of shape, you can take your time and still be rewarded with the best views of the city. Enjoy! #Vacation #Winter
